Helicopter Car by PAL-V. The United States and the Netherlands will compete with strokes of its wings to enter the market self-plane. The world’s most common dream of turning a road vehicle in a plane (and possibly underwater) has already been made in both states, but the marketing stages of the two projects are very different. In America, the Terrafugia Transition makes its debut at the Salon in New York and has already sold about 200 thousand euros in Europe, the PAL-V-ONE (Personal Air and Land Vehicle), or self helicopter produced by  PAL-V EUROPE-BV in cooperation with the Dutch National Aerospace Laboratory and the University of Delft, seeking investors. The project is very interesting, it is only the beginning of a possible production.

Although the PAL-V-ONE seems to have a car ready to be sold, at the moment is only a sort of running prototype / wheel. It has 3 wheels and transforms from car to helicopter in 10 minutes. In reality, however, is not a helicopter itself, but rather an autogyro because the engine will not operate the main rotor, which is instead set in motion by the air flow that strikes it. The engine of PAL-V-ONE is powered by petrol and has a range in air between 350 and 500 km and can travel on the road for nearly 1200 km. The maximum speed is 180 km / h both on land and in air. To drive the car-helicopter but it will take a special license, it is estimated a period of about 20-30 hours of practice.

When it is at ground, the PAL-V One is transformed into a small sports car with three wheels. The rotors and tail close in on themselves and allow the vehicle to move with agility up to 180 km / h. A flight of up to 1,200 meters of altitude with VFR rules. The engine of this fascinating prototype is powered by gasoline. These are Helicopter Car by PAL-V that interesting to know.
